Burdens of Joy is a one-act play apx. 20 minutes in length, with a cast of three men and one woman and is suitable for general audiences. The Easter story doesn’t change, but it does change the lives of those who hear its message. The interviewer tries to understand what happened at Easter and wonders if it really matters in our troubled world today. As he interviews Simon, Nicodemus and Mary, he learns what they carried during the events that we call Easter. Then he discovers that the burden and miracle of the message they carried then is still being carried with joy by many today.
