After a tropical storm in southern Louisiana has damaged a large boarding house, a Carpenter shows up and begins to make repairs, not only to the house, but to the different souls who live there. This is a multi-layered allegory which addresses many issues; divorce, antisemitism, bitterness, etc. It’s a charming story of healing and unity amid the diversity of the Family of God. Parenthesis is a full-length play (apx. 2 hours in length), has a cast of five women, five men, one boy, two girls, one teen girl and is suitable for general audiences.
